PTM Antibodies

OVERVIEW
PTM AntibodiesFig.1 Cellular post-translational modifications[2].

Post-translational modification (PTM) on proteins, such as methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation, glycosylation, and ubiquitination, can alter the structure of individual proteins and cause changes in their chemical properties. PTMs play significant roles in many biological processes, such as cell signaling, gene transcription regulation, protein degradation and cell-cell adhesion, and dysregulation of PTMs has been associated with multiple diseases such as cancer.

Hence, the identification and quantification of PTMs are critical to the basic understanding of cell biology and elucidation of disease mechanisms. There is an urgent need to develop highly specific and potent anti-PTM antibodies. Supported by our in-house scientists and first-in-class technical platforms, Creative Biolabs is confident in providing a series of high-quality PTM antibodies and customized services to facilitate your project process.

The Applications of PTM Antibodies

PTM antibodies are ideal choices for analysis. where spatiotemporal information of modified protein is required. PTM antibodies can be used to detect the presence and relative amounts of the modified protein by WB analysis, or quantified characterization by flow cytometry.

More importantly, PTM antibodies can be used for the identification and purification of protein-protein, protein-DNA, and/or protein-RNA complexes containing modified proteins, offering insights into their biological mechanisms.
