Description | This product is an inhibitory antibody that specifically targets P. vivax PvDBPII. The antibody demonstrated strong growth inhibition in transgenic Plasmodium knowlesi assays of GIA. It also effectively blocked the binding of all five variant alleles of PvDBPII to DARC, indicating its ability to neutralize a diverse range of Plasmodium vivax variants. The epitope of the antibody is located within subdomain 3 of PvDBPII. Furthermore, the antibody successfully hindered reticulocyte invasion by all tested strains. |
