Product listTNF Receptor Superfamily Member 9 (TNFRSF9), also known as CD137 and 4-1BB, is a single-pass type I membrane protein. TNFRSF9 is overexpressed in normal tissues such as the spleen and whole blood. As a member of the TNF receptor superfamily, TNFRSF9 is the receptor for TNFSF9/4-1BBL and contributes to T cell proliferation, development, and survival.

Immune Function of TNFRSF9
In the regulation of the immune system, the co-stimulator TNFRSF9 is involved in some important functions:
- Influences the differentiation of immune cells.
- Modulates the cytokine production of monocytes, DCs, and NK cells.
- Enhances the proliferation, survival, cytotoxicity, and metabolic fitness of immune cells.
Clinical Strategies Based on TNFRSF9
TNFRSF9 is the most robust target among TNFRSF co-stimulatory receptors, and a promising target for anti-tumor drug development. Advanced technologies such as TNFRSF9-based agonistic monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and anti-TNFRSF9 antibodies with an additional safety switch are currently investigated for types of tumors.
