Member of the RGM (repulsive guidance molecule) family that contributes to the patterning of the developing nervous system. RGMB acts as a BMP (bone morphogenetic protein) coreceptor that potentiates BMP signaling. It promotes neuronal adhesion. RGMB may inhibit neurite outgrowth.
