| Description | The S55-5 product is a recombinant mouse antibody that targets Lipid A ((the endotoxic principle of LPS). The structures of the antigen-binding fragments of two cognate mAbs (S55-3 and S55-5) specific for Lipid A have been determined, including complexes with the Lipid A disaccharide backbone and unliganded complexes. These high-resolution structures reveal a conserved positively charged pocket formed within the H2 loop of the complementarity-determining region, which binds to the terminal phosphate of Lipid A. |
