Carboxyethylpyrrole
Product list
CEP (carboxyethylpyrrole) is formed from its precursor docosahexanoic acid under conditions of oxidative stress. CEP condenses with certain amino acid residues forming covalent oxidized lipid-protein adducts. It has previously been established that a lipid peroxidation product, CEP (carboxyethylpyrrole), accumulates in the retinas of AMD patients.
