Description | This product is a human antibody that recognizes HIV-1 gp41. The anti-HIV-1 gp41 antibody binds peptide from residues 672 to 683. HIV-1 gp41 consists of several functional fragments that have been shown or suggested to refold extensively upon fusion activation: N-terminal fusion peptide (FP), fusion peptide proximal region (FPPR), heptapeptide repeat region 1 (HR1 ), a loop region, followed by HR2, membrane juxtamembrane external region (MPER), transmembrane region (TMR) and a cytoplasmic domain. |
